Car Woes 2

So, I have scanned the codes (MAF sensor code only), no help there, but the transmission seems to calmed down after I drained about 2 quarts of excess fluid, but the torque converter seems to be failing (the transmission will shudder in overdrive going uphill). I will do some research and see if this can be an easy or inexpensive fix, I'd hate to have to buy a new transmission if I don't have to. Well, have a great day!

Car Woes

Greetings Everyone,

I purchased a used car on the 5th of December, it seems like its a decent car for 1500 dollars. So far I have replaced the radiator, idle air control valve, throttle position sensor and cleaned the mass air flow sensor. At first there was an idling issue where it would idle in park at 1200 rpm's, now that is fixed and lo and behold a new issue has reared its ugly head when driving it seems like it is constantly trying to downshift into passing gear, even when I am not trying to gun it. Well I have purchased an OBD II scan tool online so that I can actually read the codes and see what is going on since I cannot afford to send it to a shop to be fixed. I will keep updating as I go. Have a great evening.

Being back home

This is the first full day being back home in South Carolina, it feels great, I don't have much money left but it should last us until we start making some paychecks again. I still have to find a real cheap car (probably less than a grand) so we both will be able to work.

When "vacation" lasts too long

It doesn't happen often, but when it does you'll be left feeling like you haven't vacationed at all. If it involved large amounts of travel you'll feel as if all you did was drive around and not relax much at all, too much road time will cause you to have several aches and possibly pains depending on the mode of travel. My current vacation will end with a long boring drive back across the entire country. Well, never again will people outside my immediate family take part in planning our vacation. Vacation should not include tasks like dental appointments and chiropractic visits,  those things should be taken care of outside of my families vacation.

Theme park rule number 1

Rule number one of them parks: never ever attend a theme park on any sort of holiday or a day where they slash ticket prices for any reason whatsoever,  if you do you will spend more time waiting in lines than you will spend doing anything else and that is not an exaggeration.

Disney Vacation

Well, the Disney part of our vacation is over,  now on to Knott's Berry Farm. We will be staying at the Knott's Berry Farm hotel for a few days but will only go into the park for one day (today), my daughter is having a great time as is everyone else . We will be going to see a pirate show and a medieval times show on seperate days, also will be going to the bodies exhibit as well. So the next few days will be eventful and fun. Y'all have fun and enjoy yourselves!

Trying to diet on vacation

So I have learned a valuable lesson: trying to diet while on vacation far from home is like trying to herd cats, its impossible. So I will have to restart my diet when I return home, and then I can cut away all this horrible body fat I am developing.

Wheat the silent killer

For those of you that don't know, wheat has a much higher effect on your sugar levels than eating a candy bar (unless said candy bar has wheat in it, lol). So, that being said I am embarking on a no wheat diet to see if my sense of health improves noticably (perhaps I'll lose some weight along the way). Feel free to join me in eliminating wheat from your diet as well, what could you lose from trying.... a few pounds maybe.
